Secondary Schools

Our dedicated schools co-ordinator will provide a PowerPoint presentation for teachers. This can be used in year groups, assemblies or as part of a lesson in citizenship, LLW, Religious Studies or English. The presentation will aim to change the stereotypes held around homelessness and allow a more comprehensive understanding of homelessness in Northern Ireland.

We can also provide a Q&A session by video conferencing or by email. A fundraiser may also come to give a talk in person, should circumstances allow.

Right now 55,500 people, including 5,100 children, are officially homeless. That's one in every 34 people. What’s more, this figure doesn’t account for an additional 25,000 people outside the system who aren’t getting the support they so desperately need.

Your support can help us to give them a brighter future.

Should you decide to fundraise for us, we can provide you with stickers, wristbands, buckets, sponsorship forms, leaflets etc. We will also be there to advise and support you all the way.

Fundraising Tools & tips

We have a vast array of fundraising materials to get your event up and running. Whether you need collection tins, sponsorship forms or just a bit of advice, we're here to help.

The Simon Community presentation was so informative – at the right pitch for teenagers. What really struck a chord with our young people was that this is a real problem in N Ireland and it can happen to anyone regardless of age, gender or background.
