Simon Community NI hosted a fundraising Abseil event at Dromore Viaduct on Saturday (10th September).
Sixteen staff members from Herbert Smith Freehills and Pinsent Masons braved the elements to scale down the 74ft drop and raise vital funds for the most vulnerable people in our society. It was a great turn out from two of our corporate partners for 2016/17.
The beautiful surroundings definitely made a change from other abseils which often involve a city centre building, although Simon Community NI’s Simon Ball who participated in the fundraiser said stepping over the ledge of the bridge was the most nerve-wracking part, and something very different from the regular building abseil experiences.
Luckily the rain stayed off for the eager participants who raised an incredible £2000 for Simon Community NI services in Northern Ireland.
A big thank you goes to all involved and the Mobile Team Adventure staff who made sure our participants made it down safely!
