Fundraise your way

Whether you’re a runner, walker, singer, dancer, baker or quiz master, now’s the time to put your skills to use to help end homelessness. Whatever you choose to do, we’ll be on hand with fundraising tips, inspiration and support along the way.

Planning your own fundraiser?

Setting up your own fundraiser is one of the simplest ways to support people facing homelessness in Northern Ireland. Every penny raised comes directly to Simon Community, helping us provide safety, support, and stability for those who need it most.

You can no longer use Facebook or Instagram to directly collect money, but you can set up your own fundraising page which you can share to your social media accounts.

Click the link below ‘Sign up to fundraise’ to set up your own fundraising page via our provider Enthuse for your event or activity. An Enthuse fundraising page helps you personalise your story, collect donations securely, track your progress, and share your fundraiser easily with friends and family.

Setting up an Enthuse page means we can support you properly – and your supporters can donate quickly and securely. It makes fundraising simple, shareable and impactful.

Once your page is live, you can share the link with friends, family and colleagues to spread the word and boost your fundraising. Make sure to share by email, text or on social media to collect donations easily.

FACEBOOK

Copy the link of your Enthuse fundraising page and share it as a post on your Facebook feed. You can also share it to your Facebook stories for extra views.

INSTAGRAM

Option 1 – Link-in-Bio:
Use a tool like Linktree to place your external donation link in your profile bio.

Option 2 – Instagram Stories:
Create a Story.
Tap the Sticker Icon.
Select the Link sticker (not a donation sticker).
Paste your external fundraiser link.

Option 3 – Instagram Reels:
Create a Reel
Use the caption to explain the cause and direct users to the link in your bio

Share wider – Friends, family and work colleagues are often your biggest supporters, and sharing with them can make a real difference to your fundraising.

Share prouder – Talk about why this homelessness and the work of Simon Community matters to you personally. When people understand your motivation, they’re more likely to connect with your fundraiser and support you.

Share smarter – Small goals build momentum. Reaching early milestones quickly can inspire more people to donate and help keep you motivated. And don’t forget – it’s not just fundraising milestones worth sharing. Let people know about your training progress too, or the event planning wins you’ve achieved, like booking a venue or securing a class act. Every update helps bring supporters along on the journey.

Bonus tip: Post or re-share your fundraiser on pay day for an extra boost.
