16th July 2026Family Support Group Starting in Bangor This August
When someone you care about is experiencing difficulties with alcohol or substance use, the impact can be felt across the whole family.
It can be difficult to know how best to support a loved one while also looking after your own wellbeing. Many family members find themselves feeling stressed, overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure where to turn for support.
The Simon Community South Eastern Outreach Team is offering a free five-week Family Support Programme for adults aged 18 and over who live within the South Eastern Trust area and have a loved one affected by alcohol or substance use.
The programme provides a safe and supportive environment where participants can learn practical skills, share experiences, and gain a better understanding of addiction and its impact on families.
