Creating Homes

A secure home is the foundation for a safer, brighter future. Our Creating Homes Programme is a referral service, designed to prevent homelessness by making private rental homes across Northern Ireland accessible to people who are ready to move on from temporary accommodation, giving people the stability and independence they deserve.

How to access this service?

This is a referral-only service.

If you’re already a Simon Community client, speak to your Support Worker to learn more and find out if this is the right next step for you.

What to expect

Real homes and real independence

We purchase and manage rental properties, making private renting accessible to people who have experienced homelessness. Each home represents a fresh start, a place to rebuild, grow and thrive.

Personalised support

You’ll work closely with our team called Housing Solutions, who will help you decide if this is the right step and guide you through every stage of the move.

Step-by-step guidance

From viewing the property to collecting your keys and setting up your new home, we’re with you throughout. No one navigates this transition alone.

Ongoing help

Our support doesn’t end when you move in. We offer help with repairs, tenancy advice and connections to local services, ensuring you have what you need to settle confidently into your new community.

Home to me is security, comfort, and for right now it means this place. You have one life, might as well make it as happy as you can. And thanks to this home, I am happier than I have been in a long, long time.
