The Northern Health and Social Care Trust became operational on 1 April 2007.
The Trust is responsible for the delivery of safe and effective health and social care services to a population of approximately 470,000, the largest resident population in Northern Ireland. The Trust also provides services to Rathlin Island, the only inhabited island off the coast of Northern Ireland.
