Christmas Appeal
Not every child has an address to give to Santa.
"You just don't think it's going to happen to you. The first thing we knew about it was the 'For Sale' sign going up outside - no warning from the landlord, just like that we were homeless."
Emma and her then two year old son Matthew were made homeless when their home was put up for sale by their landlord. At first, they stayed with friends and family, sleeping on sofas but eventually Emma made a heartbreaking call to the Housing Executive to say she had run out of options.
After a short stay in hotel accommodation, Emma and Matthew were offered temporary accommodation with Simon Community. This will be their second Christmas living in temporary accommodation. No child should wake up homeless on Christmas morning, with your support, we can continue to help Emma and Matthew find a place to call home.
This Christmas, over 5,000 children in Northern Ireland are living in temporary accommodation.
A donation from you, could be life-changing for families facing homelessness.
