The CIH Housing Awards took place at Titanic Belfast on Friday 21 February 2020. The awards celebrated and recognised the breadth of work across the sector in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, showcasing the amazing work and inspirational people seen in communities every day.
Simon Community was there on the night with representatives from the teams that had been shortlisted in three categories:
- Housing Team of the Year – HOME Service, facilitated by NIHE
- Working in Partnership – South Eastern Outreach Service, facilitated by the PHA
- Excellence in Communications – Marketing & Communications Team
On the night, the charity took home the award for ‘Excellence in Communications’ with Ciarán Corr, Communications Manager at Simon Community commenting:
We’re delighted to have been recognised at the awards. A lot of hard work, innovative thinking and experimentation has gone into the development of a digital audience for Simon Community over the past year. As a team, we look forward to building on our successes and lessons learned to firmly establish digital communications in Simon Community to better raise awareness of homelessness throughout Northern Ireland and beyond

The charity is incredibly proud of all the teams who made it to the final shortlist at this year’s CIH awards, which attract a lot of competition and showcases the best in housing provision across NI and Ireland.
