Simon Community NI Earns 2024 Great Place to Work Certification™

We are pleased to announce that Simon Community NI has achieved the esteemed Great Place to Work certification for the year 2024. Great Place to Work is a global authority on workplace culture, employee experience, and leadership behaviours. Their certification process relies entirely on the feedback provided by our team members, making it a true reflection of our workplace culture and values.

Director of Organisational Development & HR, Andrea McCooke, shared her thoughts on this remarkable achievement: "We are thrilled to become Great Place to Work-Certified™ as we consider employee experience a top priority every day. This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team at Simon Community. We celebrate and thank them for all they do for our organisation and the people we support.”

An impressive 79% of our employees voted Simon Community NI as a great place to work, 25% higher than the average satisfaction rate for a typical UK-based company. Additionally, our team highlighted some key aspects of their experience:

  • 92% reported feeling warmly welcomed upon joining our organisation.
  • 92% expressed feeling entrusted with significant responsibilities.
  • An overwhelming 90% of our team members believe that their work holds special meaning beyond just a job.

At Simon Community NI, we understand the importance of our mission to end homelessness in Northern Ireland, and every team member plays a vital role in achieving this goal. Last month, we launched our new 5-year strategic plan, titled 'Doing Things Differently'. This strategic plan sets out our ambitious goals and innovative approaches to tackling homelessness in Northern Ireland. It's an exciting time to be involved with the organisation as we embark on this transformative journey.
