This week, the Northern Ireland Social Care Council have launched a new campaign to help boost the adult social care workforce in Northern Ireland.
With over 43,000 social care workers making a difference in people’s lives across Northern Ireland each day, we are delighted to have the stories of Simon Community staff and clients involved in an initiative that aims to encourage more people to consider the homelessness sector as a career choice.
Speaking about her Social Care role, Melissa Mallon, Tenancy Liaison Officer at Simon Community commented:
I absolutely love it. It is a massively important role. Clients aren’t in hostels because they want to be, they are there because they have no choice and you're involved in helping to get them a home
