Rounding off a challenging, yet successful year for Northern Ireland’s leading homelessness charity, Simon Community has announced an opportunity for a talented and energetic HR professional to join their senior management team.
The successful candidate will take on a high-level strategic role and develop the charity’s existing HR strategy, which focuses heavily on organisational development and investment in people. Based on the nature of the vacancy, the charity is particularly interested in hearing from professionals with 3+ years significant HR management experience alongside recognised qualifications and training such as CIPD. In addition to generalist HR services experience, the charity is keen for applicants with knowledge and application of employment law, excellent Industrial relations experience and exposure and strategic planning and implementation.
The charity, who recently were awarded Excellence in Health & Wellbeing at this year’s Belfast Telegraph Workplace Awards, promises the successful candidate a range of employee perks including competitive salary, comprehensive employee health & wellbeing package, generous annual leave allowance and much more.
Speaking of the opportunity, Jim Dennison, Chief Executive at Simon Community commented:
Now is a dynamic and rewarding time to work within the homelessness sector and our response is as important and as relevant as ever. Daily, Simon Community supports over 600 adults, young people and families across 25 accommodation projects and 9 support services throughout the region. Instrumental to our success are the staff and volunteers who work with us, without judgement, to respond to and end homelessness.
Dennison continued:
Our workforce played a major role during COVID operations and next year will see our charity’s focus return to delivering on an ambitious five-year strategy. The successful candidate will join us at the right time and play a big part in growing the charity’s housing provision and support services, delivering on an exciting future proofing project and evolving our award-winning staff Health & Wellbeing strategy into something that will meet the needs of staff in a post-COVID society.
