Ethical clothing brand, OutsideIn, are once again delivering on their mission to rewrite homelessness by sponsoring Simon Community’s flagship and award-winning One BIG Sleep Out event, taking place on 20th October at Stormont.

Although the sleep out cannot replicate the real emotional and physical difficulties of truly experiencing homelessness, the event will bring together individuals, businesses, and community groups to experience some of the realities of having no safe and warm place to sleep while helping to raise much-needed funds and awareness for the charity’s homelessness services.

“We are so proud and excited to be a part of something that demonstrates the essence of our mission as a brand – to rewrite homelessness and challenge the negative perceptions that society has of it. We wholeheartedly believe that to truly humanise homelessness, bring awareness to its impact and help those who are experiencing it, we need to begin with empathy. And this is just what One BIG Sleep helps us to do.” says Colette McKelvey, General Manager at OutsideIn.

“We’re delighted to have the team at OutsideIn on board as official sponsors of our flagship fundraising event. Having previously partnered with OutsideIn on their Wear One, Share One initiative that allows us to include a beanie hat in each of the Welcome Packs, this event sponsorship will help us to create a memorable, fun, and challenging event. Alongside OutsideIn, I look forward to welcoming existing supporters and new faces to Stormont this coming October as they sleep under the stars for a worthy cause.” thanked Jim Dennison, Chief Executive at Simon Community NI.
